The Oak Ridge Boys are an iconic American vocal quartet known for their seamless blend of country, gospel and pop influences. Originally formed as a gospel group in the 1940s, the band transitioned into country music in the 1970s, skyrocketing to mainstream success with their signature harmonies and high-energy performances. Their classic lineup—Duane Allen, William Lee Golden, Richard Sterban and longtime member Joe Bonsall—helped define their unmistakable sound, leading to a string of chart-topping hits, including “Elvira,” “Bobbie Sue,” “American Made,” and “Thank God for Kids.” The Oak Ridge Boys have amassed an impressive collection of accolades, including five Grammy Awards, including Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group for “Elvira,” four CMA (Country Music Association) Awards, including Vocal Group of the Year, in addition to multiple ACM (Academy of Country Music) Awards and Dove Awards.
