The Commodores have been legends of Motown, pop, R&B and funk for more than 50 years, selling more than 75 million albums worldwide and influencing generations of artists across genres. With a career built on soulful grooves, iconic hits and enduring stage presence, The Commodores continue to tour globally, thrilling audiences with their Greatest Hits Tour – Live. Formed in 1968 while the members were attending Tuskegee Institute, The Commodores were discovered by Motown founder Berry Gordy and quickly became one of the label’s biggest acts. They rose to fame with a string of chart-topping hits including "Machine Gun," "Sail On" and the timeless anthem "Brick House." The group has earned seven No. 1 singles, five No. 1 albums, 20 Top 10 singles and 15 Top 10 albums. In 1985, they won a Grammy Award for the hit "Nightshift," a tribute to Marvin Gaye and Jackie Wilson. They were inducted into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in 1995 and the Vocal Group Hall of Fame thereafter. Additional honors include the 1987 Antwerp Diamond Microphone Award, the 2016 AutoZone Liberty Bowl Outstanding Achievement Award and the 2018 Casino Entertainment Award for Musical Artist of the Year. Decade after decade, The Commodores have proven their staying power.
